FX Orders Animated Pilot With All-Star Cast of Comedy Stars

The animation lineup on FX keeps growing.

According to Hollywood Reporter, the network has ordered a pilot of an animated comedy entitled Cassius & Clay. The series will be co-written by Modern Family writer Megan Ganz and Archer creator Adam Reed.

The comedy will reportedly echo Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, with the plot focusing on two women working as bandits in a post-apocalyptic America.

Kaitlin Olson (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) and Lake Bell (Childrens Hospital, Unsupervised) will voice the two lead characters, Ordwood Cassius and Shopcarter Clay. The cast of big names that have also signed on include Susan Sarandon, J.B. Smoove, Kevin Michael Richardson, Jeffrey Tambor. Stephen Root (King of the Hill, NewsRadio) and Katy Mixon (Mike & Molly, Eastbound & Down) will also voice recurring characters.
