The huge Louis CK news just keeps on coming this week, turning mid January into a Louie Newsfest. FX cannot get enough him, and just announced that they have the rights Louis’ next special, “Louis C.K. Live From the Comedy Store” which is tremendous.  Taped in the Main room at The world famous Comedy Store, the special will be available first on his website, LouisCK.net, in the next few weeks, and then FX will get the television debut later this Spring. “Louis C.K. Live From the Comedy Store” is Louis’ 6th comedy special and the second one to be aired on FX. The first was “Louise C.K.: Live at the Beacon Theater” which ran on FX in May, 2012.

Louis is currently in a record breaking run of sold out shows at Madison Square Garden during January.

If FX is making an announcement, there’s a good chance it’s going to be news about Louis C.K. The network just announced the return date for his series “Louie” which is on Thursday, April 9th at 10:30pm et right after the premiere of “The Comedians” starring Billy Crystal and Josh Gad. “Louie” will be entering its 5th season.

Also, FX reported this week that Louis will be directing and executive producing its new comedy pilot featuring long time Louis C.K. collaborator Pamela Adlon.

No word on when FX will be changing its letters to CK.
