Fox Greenlights Comedies, ’Ghosted’, ‘LA->Vegas’, Renews ‘The Last Man on Earth’

It looks like pilot season is yielding some interesting results, as it has just been announced that Fox has given the green light to two promising new series: Ghosted and LA->Vegas.

Ghosted will star Craig Robinson (Pineapple Express, This is the End) and Adam Scott (Parks and Recreation, Big Little Lies) as two ghost hunters who get caught up in a mystery much larger than themselves. Robinson will play a cynical skeptic who, along with his genius paranormal researcher friend (played by Scott), is recruited by “The Bureau Underground” to investigate strange paranormal activity taking place throughout Los Angeles. Naturally, the situation starts to get out of control as the two friends realize that they are in way over their heads.

LA->Vegas is a single-camera ensemble comedy created by the founders of Funny or Die, namely Will Ferrell, Chris Henchy and Adam McKay, along with Modern Family creator Steve Levitan. While not many details have been released so far, we do know that the show will star Dylan McDermott (American Horror Story, The Practice), and will tell the story of a group of misfits traveling from LAX to Las Vegas for the weekend with the hope of finding success and answers to life’s big mysteries.

While the details about either show are slim, they definitely have some interesting premises, and some killer teams behind them. Stay tuned to the IBang for more information on casting and release dates as it comes.
