Flatbush Misdemeanors is Back With Some Big New Surprises

Last Spring we became gigantic fans of a new web series, Flatbush Misdemeanors. Created by Dan Perlman and Kevin Iso, the series follows the lives of two friends living together in Flatbush, Brooklyn, as they try to climb out of their own heads and connect with others.

Flatbush Misdemeanors fans will be happy to hear that Season Two is now available. Also filmed on location in Flatbush, Brooklyn, the follow up to the original series is a single story told in three parts and features Yamaneika Saunders, Aparna Nancherla, and Kerry Coddett, with Kareem Green returning as Dan’s scene-stealing stepdad. Just now available, we haven’t seen the full series 2 yet, but if the opening scene is any indication, the second installment is going to outdo the first.

Described by the creators as “a raw portrayal of city life”, Flatbush Misdemeanors explores the lives of two friends seeking to climb out of their heads and connect with others.”

The first season was as smart as it is funny and delivers some action (you can see inspirations as diverse as Spike Lee and Woody Allen) and season two delivers more of the same. For those who need a refresher on what has happened so far, season one is still available but if you just need a memory jog, we met Kevin and Dan, friends since middle school, and roommates. Kevin made a huge mistake while delivering food to drug dealers, which set the season in motion, and his roommate Dan who was having a hard time teaching kids in Brooklyn.
