Even Felons Can Make Something of Themselves

An 8 time felon from Detroit just got elected as a state representative. Brian Banks will be representing the east side of Detroit. He was busted eight times for writing bad checks and for credit card fraud between 1998 and 2004. In Michigan, a felon can be elected if their crimes are not “related to the person’s official capacity while holding any elective office.” Good for you, Brian Banks! Next stop, the White House! How could he of lost with his slogan of “You Can Bank on Banks”?
