Doctors say there’s a new device that can keep donated livers alive longer. Normally, a liver has to be transplanted within 12 hours of removing it or it’s useless. Now they can last up to maybe 72 hours. This could double the amount of livers available for patients. So now feel free to have another drink. There’s going to be plenty of livers to go around.
