Dave Chappelle Says Police Choked Him On Movie Set

During a stand up gig in New Orleans, Dave Chappelle shared some memories of working in the Crescent City in the early 90s. And they weren’t fond memories. A reporter from the Times-Picayune who was at the show said that Chappelle talked about working on the set of a movie being shot in New Orleans where he played a mugger. Chappelle said the set was surrounded by police tape and when he ducked under it, a cop grabbed him and immediately put him in a choke hold. He said that you don’t even wonder why it’s happening. You just think, “OK, here we go.”
C’mon Dave. I’m sure the same thing has happened to Adam Sandler and Jim Carrey.
