Cosby Loses Charity Gig To Dana Carvey

Comedian Bill Cosby on State of the Union

First Cosby’s tv gigs started getting cancelled.  Then future gigs got yanked.  Now charitable organizations are thinking that being associated with Bill Cosby could be bad for them. Early this week, the Dallas News reported that LaunchAbility which helps adults and children with developmental disabilities, pulled the plug on Cosby’s appearance at their annual fundraiser in Dallas. Their benefit isn’t until April 2, 2015, so it looks like they don’t think Bill Cosby is going to shake these rape allegations anytime soon. Cosby has been replaced by Dana Carvey.

The group said, “We are delighted that Dana Carvey is available to share his humorous personality as our entertainer”. And he’s never been accused of drugging and raping women. So, that’s a plus when trying to get people to write fat checks.

Also this week, Freed-Hardeman University in Tennessee has replaced Cosby as the guest speaker at their December 5th benefit dinner. WREG reported that instead the school is going with Dr. Ben Carson. He’s the current “It” doctor in neuroscience and is considering running for President in 2016. Again, no sexual assault allegations on the resume.
