Comics Showing Their Love for Cubs
Grandfather to the Comedy world, Bob Newhart has been a lifelong Cubs fan, born and raised. Self-deprecating about the team as he can be in his comedy, saying the Cubs are like life “You don’t know what it’s going to be, but you know you’re bound to screw it up.” But his Twitter account (and who doesn’t love an 87 year old on Twitter) has become one of the most delightful accounts to keep an eye on during the season. On it, he’s been displaying his unbridled love for the team. He’s been flying the “W” all season, with that big Newhart smile and Cubs cap for luck.

Sometimes he got help from the Grandkids

Of course, there are a few other fellow Chicagoans sharing their love for the team. Still local @BonnieHunt_Real’s been using the season for family togetherness, especially her mom @Alicebonniesmom
Happy Bday my lovely/talented/caring daughter @BonnieHunt_real Love you Bonnie! (almost as much as I love the @Cubs ) pic.twitter.com/32T94csi8k

She also has some celebrity friends to share the love

Bill Murray isn’t the only Murray brother that loves the game, and Joel Murray (@JoelMurray9of9) is a total delight to share a game with (and actually uses social media)
It's been Christmas Eve for a month straight. One more W to fly! #gocubsgo

And Jim Gaffigan’s keeping his fandom close to the chest for obvious reasons:
I'm too superstitious to say anything but tomorrow the 8 year old me will be rooting for the team that only used to play during the day.

That being said, #GoCubsGo!!!! #WorldSeries @Cubs @Indians @nytimes
