Monday November 17th Comedy Central Records will be releasing a gigantic new comedy album from New York’s new king of crowdwork, Big Jay Oakerson.  The album is titled “The Crowd Work Sessions: What’s Your F@!?#ng Deal?!” and will be available on iTunes, Amazon MP3 and all streaming services.

Join Oakerson at his album release party and show  “Big Jay Oakerson Live” this Friday, November 7 at 8:00 p.m. at The Stand as part of the New York Comedy Festival.  It will be one of the big events of the festival and it’s part of our Editors Picks and Guide to the Best of the NYCF.

This is Big Jay’s  second album, and he decided to ditch all his written material and focus on his ability to riff with a crowd. Covering everything from interracial relationships to the myth that everyone is special, Oakerson takes his cues from the crowd for this one-of-a-kind special.  Oakerson also heads up one of the biggest crowd work shows in New York, “What’s Your Effing Deal!?”  None of the comedians perform ‘material’ at these shows which have been a huge hit at both the Montreal Just For Laughs Comedy Festival & SXSW.  Big Jay brings “What’s Your Effing Deal!?” to the New York Comedy Festival TONIGHT featuring Big Jay himself, Luis J Gomez, Dave Smith, Mike Britt, and more.  This event will take place at the Comedy Cellar at the Village Underground at 10pm.  Tickets are $15 each.

Big Jay has appeared on BET’s “Comic View” HBO’s “P. Diddy’s Bad Boys of Comedy,” and Comedy Central’s “Comedy Underground with Dave Attell,” “This Is Not Happening,” “Premium Blend” and “Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn.” He recently blew away the crowd for a fourth time at Montreal’s Just for Laughs Comedy Festival, closing the “Nasty Show” — a festival favorite — and taking his performance to a whole new level with the debut of his solo show “An American Storyteller.” You can also hear Big Jay Oakerson frequently on SiriusXM’s lead comedy channel show, the “Ron and Fez Show“, and on his own SiriusXM show with Dan Soder, “The Soder Show” which aired as a limited six episode run and is rumored to be coming back soon.

Order An American Storyteller [Explicit] on Amazon.com.
