Comedy Central Orders A Pilot For Twitter Account @DadBoner
Comedy Central is going to the Twitterverse for its next project. The comedy network ordered a pilot based on the Twitter account @DadBoner from comedian and writer Mike Burns.
@DadBoner follows the all-American life of Burns’ alter ego Karl Welzein. Created by Burns, Karl is a middle-age Michigan man who has separated from his wife who has a passion for Bob Seger. He’s been kicked out of his house by his wife and is now crashing on his buddy Dave’s couch. Karl is enjoying his new found freedom by living up with liquor and fast food. He feels like he’s finally living the American dream.
Deadline reports that the pilot will be co-written by comedy writer Tim Long who has written for “The Simpsons”, “Politically Incorrect” and “The Late Show with David Letterman”.
