Kevin Hart, Bill Burr, Jerry Seinfeld: Comedy Central Announces Huge Line Up For Inaugural ‘Colossal Clusterfest’

Remember that mysterious Comedy Central festival that we reported was in the works back in November? Well, after a few months of radio silence, Comedy Central has finally dropped the details for the event and, well, holy shit.

Officially called Colossal Clusterfest, the three-day event is already shaping up to be the biggest, baddest comedy festival in the U.S. Part of a collaboration between Comedy Central and Bonnaroo/Outside Lands festival creators Superfly, the festival will take place at San Francisco’s Civic Center Plaza and the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in an attempt to keep all of the acts in one (generally) centralized location. And just who are the acts? Buckle your seat belts, folks.

The event will be headlined by three comedy giants: Bill Burr, Jerry Seinfeld, and Kevin Hart. Those three alone would more than justify the price of admission, but there are so many more quality acts planning to attend that it’s hard to keep up with. Also joining the fray will be Sarah Silverman, Hannibal Buress, Chris Gethard, Big Jay Oakerson, Dan Soder, Anna Faris, Kyle Kinane, Liza Treyger, Yamaneika Saunders, Pete Davidson, Tig Notaro, Fred Armisen, Aparna Nancherla, Bob Odenkirk, Joe DeRosa, Nate Bargatze, Roy Wood Jr., Anthony Jeselnik, James Adomian, Rory Scovel, Natasha Leggero, Broad City’s Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer, Reggie Watts, Ron Funches, Chris Hardwick, and many more.

Of course, festivals today are all about that multimedia, which means that comedy won’t be the only form of entertainment available to attendees. Clusterfest also has a solid lineup of musicians planned, including Les Claypool’s Bastard Jazz, Ice Cube, Tegan and Sara, Lil Dicky, Vince Staples, Chromeo, Maya Rudolph’s Prince cover band, Princess, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Gretchen Lieberum, Comedy Central’s Goddamn Comedy Jam and more. The festival will also play host to a few podcasts, including Beautiful Anonymous with Chris Gethard, 2 Dope Queens with Phoebe Robinson and Jessica Williams, Anna Faris in Unqualified, Politically Re-active: W. Kamau Bell and Hari Kondabolu, How Did This Get Made? With Paul Scheer, Jason Mantzoukas and June Diane Raphael. With both Dan Soder and Big Jay Oakerson in attendance, we’re hoping for a live episode or two of The Bonfire as well; finger’s crossed!

On top of all this, festival organizers plan to have a series of interactive attractions that include full-scale recreations of famous show locations like Paddy’s Pub from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Jerry’s apartment from Seinfeld, and infamous restaurants from the world of South Park like Les Bos, Raisins, Casa Bonita and Tweek Bros. Coffee. All of this is, of course, in addition to the huge selection of local foods, wines and beers that will be available at food trucks and concession stands around the festival grounds. And just to top it all off: Comedy Central plans to donate a portion of all ticket sales to a few local non-profits around San Francisco to give back to the community that is helping them put their name on the festival map.

Colossal Clusterfest will take place from Friday, June 2nd — Sunday, June 4th, ending with a 90 minute live special on Sunday hosted by Chris Hardwick. Tickets can be found at this link; Likewise, more information on the festival’s lineup and attractions can be found at the Colossal Clusterfest website.
