On Tuesday August 16, we took over the Village Underground in New York City to put on another round of Comedy 101, where open mic night meets the roast. We had the expertise of three incredible mentors, six open mic comedians and two civilians performing comedy for their very first time. The result was outrageous, offensive, and unbelievably funny. Special thanks to our three mentors, Kurt Metzger, Big Jay Oakerson and Impractical Jokers’ Sal Vulcano and of course our open mic comedians Matt Burkitt, Jon Brown, Son Yehr, Chris San Juan, and Greg and Rob, plus Hosp who tried stand up for the first time ever on our stage and B.L., who…well…was B.L. Despite the 95 plus degree weather, the audience started lining up at 6:00 and the line stretched down the street to come see the latest edition of Comedy 101.

Brother comedy duo Greg and Rob were very happy to be the Village Underground.

Hosp had a rougher time than some of the other comics, proving that some experience is a lot better than no experience.

After the show, at the Fat Black Pussycat, performers, mentors, and audience hung around despite the still over 90 degree heat.
