Comedian Jim Tews Says Never Mind The Humans, Here’s The “Felines Of New York”

Comedian Jim Tews may have found his muse. Or is it “mews”?

Jim put together a photo and story collection in a blog called “Felines of New York”. Tews, who is also the director of the documentary “Make Fun: Building a Comedy Scene”  describes himself as “a person who likes cats and lives in New York”.  So it was natural for him to create felines of New York, a parody of the popular blog that was turned into a New York Times number one best selling book,”Humans of New York”. It’s a collection of photos of New Yorkers along with short stories and quotes about their lives.

Through Jim Tews’ work, we meet cats from all five boroughs and learn about their hopes, dreams and ambitions. Their desires are revealed including catching the laser pointer dot, being brushed and napping. A lot of napping. The most shocking part of Felines of New York is how many of the cats come off as a little selfish. Find out what cats have going on in their furry heads at  Felines of New York.

Meet some of the felines.
