College Humor & IFC Create The First Comedy Music Hall Of Fame

Weird Al Yankovic might not be inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but there is a Hall of Fame where he’s a first-ballot inductee.

College Humor and IFC have teamed up to create the IFC special, College Humor’s Comedy Music Hall of Fame. The one-hour special will honor the best musical comedians of all-time. Airing on Friday, June 19th at 10pm EST/PST, the show will be hosted by comedian Paul F. Tompkins.

The ridiculous, half-tribute show, half-tribute-show-parody will feature huge names including The Gregory Brothers, Tenacious D, Trevor Moore, CDZA, Patrick Noth, Rachel Bloom, and Scott Aukerman from Comedy Bang! Bang!. The culmination of the special will be what IFC describes as the “absurd induction” of Weird Al into the Comedy Music Hall of Fame, a hall that does not exist.

Who would you nominate for the Comedy Music Hall of Fame? Sound off in the comments.
