Colin Quinn: The New York Story: Check Out the Trailer!
If he ever decides that he’s over comedy, Colin Quinn could always find a career as an historian.
The comic’s new stand-up special, Colin Quinn: The New York Story, is as much a history lesson as it is a comedy show. Based on his one-man show of the same name, The New York Story is just that: a chronicling of life in New York through the eyes of Quinn, a native of Park Slope who is about as New York as they come. Standing on a set that’s emulates the streets and docks of New York City, Quinn gives an intimate and honest recounting of life growing up in Brooklyn. This special, like 2010’s Colin Quinn: Long Story Short, was directed by Jerry Seinfeld.
This is only one of a handful of projects that Quinn has had on his plate recently. He currently writes and stars in his own web series called Cop Show, a Law and Order-esque parody show that often features big time cameos from friends like Jerry Seinfeld and Jim Gaffigan. Last year, he wrote a book called The Coloring Book: A Comedian Solves Race Relations in America, he starred alongside Amy Schumer in the hit comedy Trainwreck, and starred in the off-Broadway show that inspired this current special.
Colin Quinn: The New York Story is set to debut on Netflix on Friday, November 18th. Check out a trailer for the special below:
