Is The Clock Ticking On Alec Baldwin’s SNL Trump Impression!?

Mario Lopez isn’t exactly known for getting news scoops, after all he’s better known for Saved by the Bell, not being the Woodward and Bernstein of the entertainment world. But in this particular case, the blind squirrel may have found an acorn. In an Extra interview to promote his new animated film, Boss Baby, Alec Baldwin told Mario Lopez his now famous Donald Trump impression may be coming to an end.

A decision to quit impersonating the 45th President of the United States isn’t coming from any sort of creative differences with SNL or compensation for playing Trump or even a scheduling problem for Alec Baldwin to constantly be in NYC on a weekly basis. According to Baldwin, it’s all about Donald Trump’s attitude.

One reason for possibly ending the impression for Alec Baldwin is that Trump is really no fun to make fun of. Baldwin told Lopez, “Trump just overwhelmingly lacks any sportsmanship, he remains, bitter, and angry, and you just want to look at him and go, ‘You won!’” He also made a statement that makes it seem like people just won’t find it funny anymore. He said, “The maliciousness of this White House has people worried… that’s why I’m not going to do it much longer, the impersonation, I don’t know how much more people can take it.”

If Alec Baldwin does hang up his wig and eyebrows and calls it quits on his Saturday Night Live gig, remember, you heard it from Mario Lopez first.
