Season Six of AXS TV’s Gotham Comedy Live is set to premiere on January 19th, and the show has got a couple of red-eyed, familiar faces to help kick things off: None other than Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong.
The duo filmed their episode to a packed house. They were the headliners for the evening, performing a well-received opening set before welcoming the rest of the lineup of comics to the stage. The two were classic Cheech and Chong — in-character, talking about everything from curing cancer with pot brownies to having possibly played in a band with Santa Claus.
Gotham Comedy Live is taped before a live audience at Gotham Comedy Club in New York City, and has given dozens and dozens of comics their first television credit.
If you’re a fan of the legendary old stoners, then do yourself a favor and tune in to Gotham Comedy Live on AXS TV on Thursday, January 19th at 10 p.m. EST. Until then, here’s a taste of what their set had to offer!
