Look out America, here comes Bridget Everett.  On July 11, Comedy Central will premiere “Gynecological Wonder”, Bridget’s first one hour special for television.

Bridgett has been one of New York’s best kept secrets for years now, and we can’t wait for everyone else to catch up with our love for her.

Executive produced by Red Hour, “Gynecological Wonder” is directed by Lance Bangs. Everett, called “the most exciting performer in New York City” on the cover of The Village Voice, and “raw and riotous” by The New York Times,” belts out beautiful songs that will make you laugh, cry and sometimes even cringe, in this fast paced, high octane rollercoaster comedy ride.

Filmed at Joe’s Pub in New York City, where Everett performs regularly, her  show is like nothing you’ve ever seen before.  Raucous, raunchy and hilarious– all true.  Her show is modern, and fun, and also feels a bit throwback to a time when showbiz was a little bit more show and a little bit less biz.  Bridget comes at you full speed and when we say she is in your face, it’s not just an expression, Bridget literally gets in the faces of those who come to see her show, connecting with the audience, and connecting her audience to each other.

Everett’s film, theater and television credits include “Inside Amy Schumer,” “Two Broke Girls,” Sex and the City, and the upcoming Judd Apatow-produced film “Trainwreck.” Everett has appeared at many festivals including: Montreal’s Just For Laughs, HBO’s Aspen United States Comedy Arts, Moontower Comedy, Festival Supreme, The San Francisco Sketchfest, and Bonnaroo.

Everett and her band, The Tender Moments, perform regularly to sold-out crowds and have welcomed special guests as varied as Fred Armisen, Flea, Patti LuPone, Marc Shaiman, Peaches, and Jake Shears (Scissor Sisters).

“Bridget Everett: Gynecological Wonder,” will premiere on Comedy Central on Saturday, July 11. For fans who can’t wait for Everett’s new material, the special will be available on July 6 on CC: Stand-Up Direct.  The extended and uncensored version of “Bridget Everett: Gynecological Wonder” will be available on July 12 in the Comedy Central App.
