Brent Sullivan Performs Stand Up On Conan
Los Angeles based comedian Brent Sullivan performed his stand up on Conan on Wednesday night. Brent is Los Angeles by way of Michigan. He doesn’t have a lot of love for his birthplace, the Great Lakes state. That’s not even the nickname that Brent uses to describe Michigan and it’s doubtful that the fine folks at the capital in Lansing are going to appreciate the way he categorizes his home state.
Brent Sullivan talked about what it’s like when your own therapist really doesn’t find you trustworthy. He also went on to describe one of the more unique ways he tried to mask being gay before he actually came to the realization himself. Looking back, he knows he most likely wasn’t fooling anyone with his choice of girls to check out online.
The most intriguing part of Brent Sullivan’s set on Conan is that he’s probably one of the few comedians to have had a battle of insults with Pastor Fred Phelps the founder of the very anti-gay Westboro Baptist Church. The two went head-to-head name calling with each other at a protest at Brent’s alma mater. Watch Brent Sullivan’s set on Conan below to find out who you think won.
Brent Sullivan will have a new album coming out later in 2016 on the A Special Thing Records label.
