Billy Crystal and Josh Gad In “The Comedians,” Coming to FX in 2015
Billy Crystal returns to television on FX next year with”The Comedians.” It’s also Josh Gad’s return to TV as well. In the new series, Crystal plays a comedy legend who pairs up with younger and edgier star who’s becoming the new face of comedy (played by Josh Gad) against his better judgment. The two are paired together on a sketch comedy show.
“The Comedians” has big names behind the camera too, with Larry Charles (Curb Your Enthusiasm, Seinfeld) co-executive producing, along with Matt Nix (Burn Notice), and Ben Wexler (Community, Arrested Development) who also write the series. “The Comedians” also stars Stephanie Weir, Matt Oberg, Megan Ferguson and Dana Delaney.
In these first sneak peeks from FX, generations and egos collide. Josh Gad playing a self-involved ego maniac on the series, should be a big change from his most recent roles in “1600 Penn” and as Olaf the Snowman in “Frozen”.
“The Comedians” is in production and is coming to FX in 2015.
