Bill Murray Does “Space Jam” Jersey Giveaway At Ball Game
It could be a case of Bill Murray being one of the cooler owners in Minor League Baseball. It could also be a case of Bill Murray cleaning out his garage. His team, the Charleston Riverdogs had a special giveaway for their fans for Saturday’s game against the Savannah Sand Gnats.
It was “Space Jam” night at The Joe, (Joseph P. Riley Jr. Park) and the giveaway was “Space Jam” basketball jerseys with Bill Murray’s name on the back of them. According to Fox Sports, the “Tune Squad” jersey giveaway was for the first 1000 Riverdogs fan through the gate on Saturday evening for the game. These were replicas of the jersey Bill Murray wore when he played himself in the 1996 animated comedy co-starring Michael Jordan and the Looney Tunes characters. Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck were also on hand at the Riverdogs game on Saturday as part of “Space Jam” night.
The Riverdogs reported that a line immediately started forming outside the ball park after the team tweeted the Bill Murray – Space Jam jersey giveaway announcement.
