Bill Burr Tells You How To Bet the Super Bowl on Conan

Bill Burr appeared on Conan to prepare the way for his new special, Walk Your Way Out, premiering Friday on Netflix. You can also read about Bill Burr’s thoughts on his new hour for Netflix in an interview he did with the Interrobang’s Debra Kessler. It’s a big weekend for Burr even if he didn’t have a new special being released. He’s a known New England Patriots fan and his home team is playing in another Super Bowl this weekend, this time against the Atlanta Falcons.

One of comedy’s biggest Patriots fan, Bill Burr is not being a homer here when it comes to gambling involving New England. Most football fans are blinded by their own loyalty and expect blowout victories from their teams. Burr knows enough to follow the line, which he expects to keep moving until kickoff. You can see how he suggests you place your wager in the clips below, but his advice really comes down to betting the opposite of whatever the “morons are saying”, meaning other sports fans.

Bill also talked to Conan about being a new dad. He’s a little over a week into fatherhood at this point and he feels it’s not as hard as people say. Especially, since his life as a comedian has been the perfect training for the sleep deprivation that comes with being a new parent as Burr explains why to Conan. The Boston comic also has no time for other parents’ advice which he feels is no help at all. Also, if you are a parent, DO NOT send Bill Burr video and photos of children, “you weirdo”. As a new parent, Bill Burr is also trying to do something about his anger, but it’s hard when your meditation tapes also make you so mad.

Conan O’Brien also asked Bill Burr about the brand new Trump Presidency. Bill is learning quickly that a Trump led government is nothing like the educational cartoons “Schoolhouse Rock!” that he watched when he was a kid. He also had some thoughts on the protests going on and why he thought Madonna was brilliant at the Women’s march, and it had nothing to do with her political views. Plus, Bill Burr has no sympathy for the losing candidate in the Presidential election, Hillary Clinton as he got painfully real about her. All these clips are below including Bill’s comments on why PEDs are not only fine in Major League Baseball, but also why steroid use is going to be good for all of us down the road.
