Which Big SNL Star Did a 19 Year Old Wyatt Cenac Have a Shoving Match With?
Wyatt Cenac was on the Late Show Tuesday night promoting his new show, People of Earth, about a support group for people who think they were abducted by aliens.
Cenac told a story about when he was 19 years old and interning at SNL. He said he would spend a lot of late night hours there, mostly because he didn’t want to go home. He remembered he would see Colin Quinn and Norm Macdonald get into late night hallway soccer games- which was amazing of course. Except for the night that Norm, who was trying to quit smoking at the time, got really mad at Wyatt for clipping him in the shin.
“He grabbed me and tried to throw me across the room, which is not how soccer is played,” Cenac said. “I pushed him off of me because I was 19 and didn’t really understand stations of power and we got into a shoving match and started yelling at each other.”
Colbert by the way, was there to witness the event, he was a guest writer there at the time, and said he’s more than willing to set up a rematch. Watch the clip below.
