Ben Stiller’s Bitches Coming to Hulu

Hulu is expanding its reach into live-television with an international adaptation of Brazillian series “As Canalhas” through Ben Stiller’s Red Hour Production. The name translates to “Bastards” but Stiller’s series is called Bitches, a half-hour comedy anthology focusing in on the confessions of awful doings by women to their hairdresser.

This project comes in the wake of the long awaited, star-studded and uninspired “Zoolander 2”. Still, Hulu is banking on Stiller’s name recognition as producer to help the platform reach 12 million viewers by May, as promised. The premise is solid, and the writing staff is at least semi-legitimate.

A well-known director and relatively unknown romance author are signed on as writers. Nzingha Stewart, director of episodes of “Pretty Little Liars”, “Major Crimes” is also expected to shoot on “Grey’s Anatomy” and “How to Get Away with Murder” later this year. Conversely, G.L. Lambert authored “Solving Single: How to Get the Ring Not the Run Around” and his magnum opus, “Ho Tactics: How to MindFuck a Man into Spending, Spoiling and Sponsoring”. Lambert also is partners with a website called “Black Girls are Easy” and offers a $99 advice service about getting a man to bankroll your life without having sex with him.

The best-case scenario is that this Lambert guy is a Ben Stiller character, which would make for some great behind-the-scenes footage.
