The Barstool Comedy Guys Kick Off Their ‘Live From Houston’ Event


Super Bowl week is finally upon is, which means that it’s also time for Comedy Central’s four-night live event, The Barstool Rundown: Live From Houston. Monday night, El Pres, KFC and Big Cat (Dave Portnoy, Kevin Clancy and Dan Katz) kicked off the event looking about as comfy as anyone on TV’s ever looked, with the three hosts all wearing Barstool Sports sweatshirts while reclining in lawn chairs.

The show is essentially ESPN’s Pardon The Interruption combined with a college football pre-game show. The hosts watch and commentate on a series of video clips in rapid succession; the videos from last night covered everything from President Trump’s immigration ban and the Saudi prince who loaded a plane with hawks to Tom Brady’s dad and Justin Bieber’s recent steamrolling at the hands of Chris Pronger.

In case you missed last night’s inaugural episode, here are two clips of the boys in action. In the first, the hosts watch a clip in which one of their fans, who was stopped from entering the country after returning from Istanbul thanks to Trump’s recent immigration ban, runs through an airport terminal shirtless in front of hundreds of cheering people who weren’t there for him:

In the other clip, the trio discusses a Saudi prince who recently bought 80 tickets on a Qatar Airlines flight in order to transport his army of trained hawks:

 

 

The Barstool Rundown: Live From Houston is taking place from now through Thursday, February 2nd in preparation for this weekend’s Super Bowl game, and is being broadcast live on Comedy Central at 12 a.m. EST each night.
