Emanuel Santos, the sculptor responsible for the terrifyingly ugly bust of soccer star Ronaldo unveiled when the Madeira Islands airport in Portugal was renamed in the athlete’s honor, has answered back to all the criticism he’s faced online. Santos said, “Even Jesus did not please everyone. This is a matter of taste, it’s not as simple as it seems,.” Yeah, but at least with Jesus, the people who didn’t like his work got to nail him to a cross.
