Love cats? Love dogs? Love comedy? The Hoboken Comedy Festival is offering an amazing lineup and a chance to help out a great cause this year, and you will have the chance to finally bring your real best friend out to watch some comedy– your dog.

Hoboken, New Jersey’s sixth annual comedy festival benefitting the Liberty Humane Society has announced an impressive line up of headliners and other comedians. Artie Lange, Robert Kelly, Charlamagne tha God, Andrew Schulz, Yannis Pappas, Derek GAines, Moody McCarthy, Wil Sylvince, Matt Pavich and Matt Richards are just a few of the comedians who will be lending their voices to the festival which runs from September 28th through October 4th.  You’ll also have the chance to see Matteo Lane, Seaton Smith, Akaash Singh, and a taping of Artie Lange’s podcast.

Organized by Dan Frigolette, the annual festival raises money to benefit Jersey City’s Liberty Humane Society, an animal shelter that fosters a community of compassion and respect.  This year the festival will also donate o support the Hoboken Volunteer Ambulance Corps. All beverage sales during the festival including the beer garden event will benefit the Hoboken EMS.

The festival will feature 80 comedians in 7 days.  In addition to the headlining comedians, the festival also supports plenty of new and rising talent. Monday through Thursday will feature five “New Talent” performers who can win their respective night by impressing a panel of industry judges, comprised of talent bookers from all over the New York City area.  One winner from each week night will be asked to come back and perform on the early and late shows on Friday and Saturday. The most successful new talent comedian of the weekend will then open for Artie Lange on Sunday October 4th and be the overall winner of the 2015 Hoboken Comedy Festival.

Every night there will also be special outdoor matinee performances giving you the opportunity to show off your best four legged companions to your comedy friends. Save the date October 4th for the ALL STAR DOG FRIENDLY SHOW w Beer Garden at 2PM.

The festival will close with a ground breaking performance from Hoboken’s own Artie Lange.
