Artie Lange Never Copped Heroin in Delaware
Artie Lange has told the story many times. He became an addict and didn’t want to buy drugs too close to home so he drove to Wilmington, Delaware to purchase heroin.
Artie’s story of course is a tale of an addict’s spiral into a darkness. A talented person is forced to shamefully lie and deceive loved ones while surrendering himself to a white powder that pulls him closer and closer to degradation and finally death.
That is not what interests the people of Delaware. What they take from Artie’s story is one thing and one thing only. Delaware. How could this happen in the first state? Artie finally came clean. He spoke to The News Journal and Delaware online and dropped this bombshell.
“I’ll give you an exclusive: I never bought heroin in Delaware in my life,” he said. “I was afraid to say where I really got it. I was dealing with some dangerous people.”
“People made such a big deal of me getting it in Delaware, but I just picked a place,” Lange added. “Everything else about those stories are true, but it just happened in a different place. I wasn’t bad-mouthing Delaware – they sell heroin everywhere. I just had to pick a place that wasn’t where I really got it because I didn’t want people to think I’m ratting on them.”
So there you go Delaware. Rest easy. No drugs are or have ever been sold in your state.
