Artie Lange Announces New Podcast

Ever since The Artie Lange Show was taken off the air from DirecTV, Artie Lange fans have been asking, where will Artie go next, and they finally have their answer.

Artie Lange stopped by the Ron and Fez Show on SiriusXM’s Raw Dog Comedy Hits 99 to talk about his new Comedy Central special, “Artie Lange: The Stench of Failure”. But Artie had some other big news too. Artie announced that he is coming back to broadcast with a regular streaming show, and it’s already in the works.

“I’m probably going to do a podcast. And truly uncensored for the first time. I’m going to give my people who follow me a true sense of ‘me’. Like a truly uncensored version of a radio show. I don’t feel I’ve ever done that before. So, it’s going to be fun.”

Artie said the plans for the podcast are already underway.

“I’m going to do it from my office at first. I bought the equipment already. It cost like 8 grand. It’s amazing. I’m just going to kind of like roll the dice and see. The numbers that are thrown out there are incredible. And I can give the fans the best show I’ve ever done. So, everyone wins in the beginning. And if it bombs, I’ll just stop doing it.”

He also told Ron Bennington that the groundwork has already been laid by comedians who have been doing podcasts and his built-in fan base is even more of an advantage.

“I did Howard’s show and DirecTV and stand up and the books and everything while they were doing that. They sort of shot down the doors and I’m gonna walk through.”

Asked about a timeline for the new podcast to launch, Artie said, “Hopefully in 3 weeks to a month. We’re going to get really rolling with it.”  The working title is “Artie Quitter”. That’s also where fans can keep updated on information about his new podcast by following him @ArtieQuitter.

Artie Lange is best known for his years on the Howard Stern Show as well as his stand up career, MADtv, his movies like “Dirty Work” and “Beer League”, his best selling books “Too Fat To Fish” and “Crash and Burn”, and his shows on DirecTV, both solo and with Nick DiPaolo.

Artie’s new special, “Artie Lange: The Stench of Failure” premieres Saturday night at Midnight et on Comedy Central. It will be on the Comedy Central App on the day after the premier, Sunday October 19th. Then “Artie Lange: The Stench of Failure, Extended and Uncensored” will be available on Amazon Instant Video, iTunes, Xbox Video, Sony Entertainment Network and Vudu on Tuesday, October 21st.
