Anthony Cumia Was Sued Last Month?

How did we miss this one?

Page Six reported that Sandra Kane, aka Sandy Kane aka The Naked Cowgirl filed a lawsuit against radio and podcast personality Anthony Cumia. She’s seeking $2 million in damages in a case filed in the Southern District of New York.

The handwritten complaint filed last month but on January 17th names Cumia, Compound Media, “Anthony Cumia Pod Cast” and “Keith (anthony’s Prod.)” as defendants in the case, and alleges that she was damaged after Compound Media executive Keith Maresca, known to fans as Keith the Cop pulled a chair out from under her in 2015. She claims she was bruised and that her civil rights were violated and that she suffered bruises, back pain, anxiety, depression and embarrassment. She says the damages have harmed her ability to earn, and that she can only work two days a week as a result of her injuries. Kane says “his producer Keith [Maresca] violently pulled the rollaway chair out from under me,” leaving her “traumatized and disoriented.”

Kane also filed a request to proceed In Forma Pauperis. On January 19th two days after filing the court ordered Kane to correct certain formal deficiencies in her pleading within 30 days.  It’s unclear whether Kane satisfied the court by the deadline as the docket doesn’t yet show amended pleadings or a dismissal.

The Naked Cowgirl performs in Times Square for tourists. She has been a guest on Cumia’s Anthony Cumia Show before, and has a history as a frequent guest on the Opie and Anthony Show.
