Amy Schumer and Jennifer Lawrence Writing Screenplay Together

Amy Schumer and Jennifer Lawrence were last seen jet skiing together out in the Hamptons. It must have gone better than everyone realized because now, according to the New York Times, the twosome are working on a screenplay.

Lawrence casually told a Times reporter on Wednesday that she and Amy are not only working on a screenplay, they are planning to co-star in the film. They’ll be playing sisters, she said, and they’ve been writing very quickly. “We’ve got about 100 pages right now,” Lawerence said.   Lawrence said she emailed Schumer after seeing, and loving Trainwreck, and then of course they went jetskiing together just a few weeks ago.  At the time, Schumer had said she ran into Lawrence, invited her to come along with Amy and her friends and had been surprised when Jennifer said yes with no mention of a working relationship, so you might infer that they hadn’t started collaborating at that time.

“Amy and I were creatively made for each other.” Lawrence said. “We have different flavors. It’s been the most fun experience of my life. We start the day off on the phone, laughing. And then we send each other pages. And we crack up. I’m flying out tomorrow to see her in Chicago. We’ll write a little bit with her sister, Kim, who worked with Amy when she was writing ‘Trainwreck.’”
