Amy Poehler Set To Marry Will Ferrell, Run A Casino In New Comedy
Comedy superstars are joining forces. Amy Poehler is set to star opposite Will Ferrell in the upcoming comedy film The House.
The film’s plot revolves around a suburban married couple, Poehler and Ferrell, who lose their daughter’s college fund. In an attempt to regain the money, the duo build an illegal casino in their basement.
Andrew J. Cohen and Brendan O’Brien wrote the script. The two previously wrote the wildly successful comedy Neighbors, starring Seth Rogen and Zac Efron. Cohen will also direct the movie.
Poehler wrapped the seventh and final season of NBC’s Parks & Recreation in February. She also recently finished shooting Sisters, a comedy film where she teams with her close friend Tina Fey. Sisters will premiere on December 18 in theaters.
Poehler and Ferrell will begin filming The House in August.
