ABC 7 Gets Pranked During UCLA Flood Coverage

When news happens, news stations stay on air for hours, hoping to snatch the biggest ratings they can. So how do you fill hours of watching the same pictures over and over? You take phone calls from any Tom, Dick, and Harry who sounds important. And what happens when you do that? You wind up falling for some prank caller who knows you’re too concerned about ratings to realize his name sounds like “Slung Poo.”

Which is what happened to ABC 7 during its wall-to-wall UCLA flood coverage, providing everyone somebody to laugh at. Not only do we appreciate this, but this barefoot dude cleaning Pauley Pavilion does, too, because he would’ve undoubtedly been the viral smash on Wednesday had you not fucked up.

The water main outside UCLA’s campus burst Tuesday evening, and flooded parts of the campus, including Pauley Pavilion and Drake Stadium. Here is more images and footage of the damage.
