Gawker should have never stooped to the level of MSNBC, even in attempting to expose the malicious intent of MSNBC in "accidentally showing" the picture.
Gawker Publishes Photo Of Trayvon Martin’s Dead Body
[two_third]After MSNBC accidentally showed a graphic picture of Trayvon Martin’s dead body, Gawker quickly captured the image and posted it to their website. This has set off a firestorm against the site with people accusing the articles author, Adam Weinstein, of using the slain boy as a way to get page views for the site along with the headline “This, Courtesy of MSNBC, Is Trayvon Martin’s Dead Body. Get Angry.”[/two_third]
he looks so lifelike. This is how i expect Fez to be found after his first twink fucks him to death Russian prison rape style.
That's not even Trayvon! I have seen pictures of Trayvon, he was much younger looking and much shorter. This person almost looks like a grown man.
Which brings us to the core question. Is a picture of a dead man’s body newsworthy? Is it really about journalism? But then again who said media really has anything to do with being newsworthy in the first place anymore? Or is it really about providing us with sanitized versions of reality that are consumer palatable? Or maybe media is just all about being entertaining and sensational?
If we are going to sit down for months and talk about motives, prejudice and hoodies and pictures of Trayvon looking like a gangster, why not the end result picture too...?
It can't be Trayvon Martin, that looks like a much older guy than the picture MSNBC, CNN, CBS, NBC, ABC used. They wouldn't have mislead people by doing that would they?
The pro-Zimmerman crowd has been playing this story all wrong. This wasn't a kid in a hoodie that got shot. This was a kid in skinny jeans. If the jeans don't really fit, you must acquit.
its been all over the internet for like 2 weeks. people should save their fucking outrage. we have the internet now. EVERYTHING gets out...the public has seen EVERYTHING
Oh, by the way, HOLY SHIT I SHOULDN'T HAVE LOOKED AT THAT PICTURE!
I think after seeing that Trayvon pic, he doesn't look like he could kill shit with his fists. I'm not a fake ultra-liberal like Fez, but Trayvon Martin looks like he was not intimidating.
How many dead bodies have they already put in the paper? Why is anyone's body to be respected more than anyone elses? If this was the first time they ever did it, I would be wondering why they made that move.
Gawker did some stupid shit? How amaziung.
yet half the content from this place is lifted directly from one of their sites....stupid media hypocrites, all of you
Whatever particular political/racial ideology you hold this picture helps to remind us that this is because someone died.
@ScallywagNYC The media is largely a joke now. It's an entertainment machine more than it's a hard news outlet. That being said, if you want the facts, if you want the truth, a dead body qualifies.
I don't think we need proof Trayvon's dead, even though I'm not against it. We'll just take people's word that he's dead. He's not Saddam Hussein or Bin Laden.
@Distortion9 about damn time
I've seen enough dead bodies, some in person and many in photographs, to know I don't need to look at this one. That said, I can't think of a single instance where one of the bodies looked intimidating. That's fairly normal, even when looking at a body you know was once very animated and very capable of intimidation.
@dirtyleft sorry azz
@dirtyleft ya mama died doing what she des best-a blow job
@dirtyleft That's pretty crude you creepy azz cracker!
@c-money Right age, wrong gender, def wrong race.
@ummmwhat - I'm pretty that ummmwhat is a screaming faggot and so is his mama!
@ummmwhat He's not the one running around playing cop vs. imaginary robbers all night. Or taking martial arts classes. Or carrying a gun everywhere he goes like Dirty Harry.
@Clover leaf The media behavior in these cases is hypocritical and just plain stupid. They fetishize these killings, turn them into emotional porn melodramas, then get all prissy about the sight of the dead body which is the fundamental fact of the matter.
@Clover leaf I think all can agree it was a senseless death. What people disagree on is who was the senseless one?
@sidwasout Looking at him, he looks gangly. Doesn't look intimidating to me. To be more specific, I don't think he's so intimidating that I'd feel like my life was in danger. If some guy has you on the ground punching your face, that's not a fun time, but Trayvon doesn't look like he can put someone in a hospital.
@babydawg It's so entertaining to have you on here! It'll be so sad when you are totally blocked from this site.
Like I dont know anyone on here , but because of a comment on this case im supposed to think/care if they think one side is right or wrong at the end of the day one man has to live with killing a kid, and a kid wont live to learn from his own mistakes?
@Plastic ThoughtsI don't know. Some dead bodies look like they can still go a round or two!
I was referring to his stature, not his life status.
Yes huh you did! And again, let's leave the mother's out of this. That doesn't work with white people, we have secure relationships with our parents. What color is your dad's eyes? Just guess.
