Did Hipster Tech Really Save the Obama Campaign?

Obama field organizers will be studied by every future campaign.

The new analysts did something unheard of by profiling and targeting unlikely voters. That transformed registration from a passive activity — sitting at a folding table in a supermarket parking lot — into something active and much more efficient.

Mitt Romney is still flat footed and in shock that he lost a race that he honestly believed was his.

Just reinforces that the Republican party is completely in effective and out of touch. How the hell do you lose to a black man in this racist ass country!? Twice!?

Hipsters by definition cannot do math, so it is impossible that their technology did anything for Obama.

Big Data is the closest thing to hipster in the science world.  Learn VERY basic statistics and probability and you will have the power to overturn most Big Data 'conclusions'.

No, buying off the "urban" vote with expanded welfare and Obamaphones won it

Yeah, you can't just sit at a table. You have to pick up the van load of illegals and drive them to ten polling stations, as well.

Only 57% of eligible voters show up and the urban minorities and rural blacks all heavilly turned out for obama. Also, the electoral college weighs state victories by their urban votes, just look at the Illinois results. White trash generally won't vote obama because they are historically republican no matter what, but they a large % of eligibles that didn't turn out. So knowing all this, is it easier to influence turnout by bribing urban areas with welfare programs and bussing caravans of urban blacks to the polls which are close by? Much more bang for the buck than trying to mobilize a million trailer parks all spread out in the rural poverty belt.

@stoogemcclassy Sigh...Obama didn't invent welfare and the President can't expand it either that takes local government and Congress. Who gives a fuck if Whites are too lazy or spread out to vote? That's the GOPs problem not mine. Whining about something being too hard or getting bang for the buck is just crazytalk, those same poor White people didn't like Romney or today's batshit crazy GOP.

But hey, whine all you want about GOP created cell phone programs and lazy White People...enjoy the slide.
