Quick Question: Drinking
Have you ever tried a hangover cure? What was it? Did it work?
If you drink a fifth of Maker's Mark a night, you stop having hangovers after a couple weeks... It also gets rid of problems, responsibilities, annoying family...
Where I used to work, they had a first aid kit on the wall, with something called Pain Away. It was a couple pills, and the ingredients were aspirin, ibuprofin, and caffein. High levels of all, as well as some other stuff I didn't recognize at the time, and it always seemed to work.
@Captain Geech That's what I do. 3 or 4 beers, then a water. more beers then another water. Especially when I am at Indy for the 500 every year. 4 days and night of constant drinking. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate
I'm with TruthBomb below. I know quitting drinking is unfathomable for most of you but it does nothing for me but tear up my asshole the next day with the shits. I stick to the herbal high.
You may be joking, but when I was younger, I could burn through the worst hangovers with about an hour of hard labor. It was an hour of pure hell, but once through, it was like I had a brand new set of internal organs, ready for the next assault.
@sidwasout I'm only half kidding. I used to blast through a hangover while swinging a sledgehammer and then go do it all again. Job I have now has too much downtime and makes hangovers worse
Canadians drink Caesars to cure a hangover. Same as Bloody Mary but with clam juice.
I always heard Red Beer, which is basically a beer mixed with V-8 Juice...never worked for me though. A couple of Aleve and a nap works best.
Red Beer? I thought that was only a Texas thing. I have heard of it but only down there. They swore it worked.
@sterlingblue Never worked for me...but Texans are big on it. They're also big on putting their state flag on everything.
I.V. of Lactated Ringer's solution and a shot of Toradol. No joke. You are rehydrated and inflamation associated with the headache is completely gone. Plus, you are not out of it. It won't make you sober. But, it will kill a hangover.
No, you don't have to. Chief, the PA for my old unit used to do that when a guy came back too out of it to pull duty the neck day. Took about an hour to sink the I.V. and let it run but it worked.
Pepper eats a bale of hay and has carrots fed to him (palms flat) to fix his hangover. A nice brushing helps too.
