Bat Week Blowback!!! Christopher Nolan defends ‘Dark Knight Rises’ Fans Angry Reactions to Bad Reviews

Director Christopher Nolan is defending fans who are irate over negative reviews of “The Dark Knight Rises. “I think the fans are very passionate about these characters the way a lot of people are very passionate. Batman’s been around for over 70 years and there’s a reason for that. He has a huge appeal, so I think you know people certainly respond to the character,” he said. Well Shakespeare’s characters have been around even longer but it doesn’t mean every production is brilliant. Tell your mouth breathing fan boys to chill.

BTW, I really don't see Nolan defending anyone's behavior in those quotes (or at the source article). He just said they were passionate.

I think that the press was giddy over Bale fighting with his mother before the last movie and is missing the scandal frenzy this time around.

The ending ROCKED! Batman is about to do things to bad guys & then the camera pans to Adam West's bedroom where he's in bed with Octomom. It was all a dream! Nolan forever.
