Yes, the kids were wrong BUT... This woman had a job to do on that bus and that job was to keep those little bastards in control. Ultimately, this is another example of how people are rewarded for their incompetence. Sigh.

I pissed off my 6th grade teacher to the point she threw a stapler at me across the room. The sad thing is, I don't even remember what I did. We also forced the science teacher into early retirement that year. What an ass I was (read: am).

Ron likes to oversimplify things. The majority of the kids on that bus weren't harassing that woman and wouldn't harass her. I don't think the parents of these kids are afraid to hit their kids, I think they are just too busy doing their own thing and can't be bothered to raise their kids. All the tough guys calling in with stories from their childhood are full of shit. Kids weren't allowed to act like this 10 years ago. Not by parents, and not by the schools.
I know I was a huge asshole as a kid, but I guess growing up, you hate seeing the weak get pounded on.

This seems a lot harsher than how you fucked with your teachers or ripped her a new one behind her back as opposed to a 10 minute straight "you're an ugly sweaty fat person whos children should kill themselves" (and btw her son did kill himself 10 years ago).
I agree we were all little assholes growing up, but this just seems brutal.

We had this old lady teacher who would fall asleep, we would leave drive 10 minutes down the road get breakfast . some of the really bad kids would put thumb tacts in her seat, glue her chalk down to the board. Put glue in her seat.

I remember when I was in middle school (mid 1990's), we had a substitute teacher that we constantly harassed. One time she broke down and cried. Good thing everyone didn't have cameras then. Middle school kids are asses, always have been always will be.

It's a lack of spanking. Kids have no fear or respect for authority. My daughters have friends that talk to me like we're equals and it drives me nuts. They're 9. I was a shithead too, but I respected adults, for fear of my Mom kicking my ass.

Now I propose forced abortions if the parents' combined IQ is below 160. We can start a pilot program in Alabama and just see how it goes, but lower the score to 150 if the parents are related.
