I would have loved to have seen the reaction if other addictive substances such as alcohol, caffeine, and nicotine had been brought up in addition to crack, meth and heroin. Marijuana is classified as a schedule 1 drug, and yet is far less dangerous than the drugs most Americans put in their bodies, LEGALLY, everyday. And yet it is considered by hypocrites like this woman to be as dangerous as the most powerfully addictive substances humankind has yet discovered.
“I’m Just Asking You As An Expert Is Heroin Worse For Someone’s Health Than Marijuana?”
Seems like a simple question and yet she really struggles with it. Let me ask another one “Is getting hit in the forehead with a sharp ax worse than being spanked on the butt with a bare hand?… no I know they both hurt but, is getting hit in the forehead with a sharp ax worse than being spanked on the butt?”
I wonder what people would look like when all barbers had such amazing knowledge & experience doing their jobs.
i think she's a cyborg and is unable to process that weed is not as addictive as the other drugs it is listed with, her programming does not allow it!
Ugh god.. What a fucking intransigent bureaucrat. I understand where she is coming from .. she is trying to keep her job.. but its this non honest attitude by the government about weed that keeps it illegal
She keeps alluding to schedule 1 drugs are illegal and addictive. But prescription narcotics are schedule 1 drugs. So marijuana still can be schedule 1 and legal.
My father in law got drug treatment for pills at a VA where he was told that alcohol was the most addictive of all drugs and that marijuana is not addictive. Show me a 3rd party study that demonstrates withdrawal symptoms after extensive marijuana use is discontinued. You can't because they don't exist.
Another example of Hussien Obama's inability to set a culture of truthfulness. He is such an amateur.
All I heard her say was money, we follow money, we make money, schedule one makes us money, addiction makes us money, don't try to touch our money, why are you harrassing me about money, Congress told us that we can make money, we won't consider anything that will endanger us making money.
The Spanish chick in the back is lovIng this, and the other chick looks like a Dr. Seuss character that dropped her ice cream cone on the floor
I don't know what you people are watching- the real show is the chick behind her who's trying not to giggle her ass off.
Heroin has legit medical uses, while smoking Marijuana does not.
Of course I don't care since they should both be legal for recreational uses, with the same restrictions and sanctions as alcohol and tobacco - over 18, no driving while under the influence, etc...
Oh and I said 18, the 21 law would get overturned if someone with standing and enough resources to bring the case to the SCOTUS
The guy is a cunt. Everytime he asks his question she starts to talk and then he asks the same question again but with a different drug. Just trying to make himself look like he is getting to the "heart of the matter." Don't be an ass and ask a question just to cut the person off.
Listening to this broad is as much fun as coming down from a week-long heroin binge. I bet she's never fucked with the lights on.
@Rorschach7 just so you know I'm googling 'intransigent'
@FSUfanboy Most are actually Schedule 2. Oxycodone, Fentanyl, Opium, and Methadone are all Schedule 2. Along with Cocaine and PCP.
@Franklin97 Exactly what I was getting out of it. I can almost hear the private incarceration system yelling "you Go Girl!" in the background.
@The Condor you did that wrong, its, " I got it from a neeeeeeegrooooo".
@filler As a tennessean she is the thinest cop I hsve ever seen.
I understand completely what he is doing. I get that she isn't coming out with a straight yes or no answer. I get all that.
Forget the subject of drugs or whatever it is...just talking about debate and presentation. By refusing to allow someone to give any quick answer other than "yes" or "no" without explanation is a common technique used by aggressive questioners to make a point. His agenda was clear. Look at any courtroom drama, including A Few Good Men, or whatever. It is all this same "technique" of this type of questioning, not letting someone answer a question with options other than "yes" or "no" or "true" or "false". Not all answers are yes or no and need explanation. I know we have all been put in this type of position.
@elephant_droid He is trying to make a point that there are drugs that are addictive and harmful and drugs that are not. She is stuck in a rock and a hard place because her organization depends on keeping marijuana a schedule 1 narcotic because they make money off it from the Goverment and their own arrests and confiscations. Look up for me deaths from consumption of tylenol compared to marijuana over the past 10 years. You will find out that Tylenol deaths clearly outstrips marijuana deaths but yet Tylenol is still legal. Try to recognize the hypocrisy that our government is enforcing.
@elephant_droid I thought the same thing at first but, what I think he was going for was the fact that she couldn't give a yes or no answer on an easy question. She could have just lied every time and said its just as harmful every time
@elephant_droid dude, hes trying to make a point, that weed should not be a class 1 substance. the dea lady needs to stop grouping all drugs as harmful for your health . the dude is smart for using those comparisons because all in all weed is not bad for you like crack and H. she kept avoiding the question , id of done te same
@elephant_droid Did we watch the same video? The guy only kept asking because she kept dodging, he asked her to say the obvious and the scientifically supported truth but she was being a politician and couldn't say something true that's obviously contradictory to the policy the DEA enforces. He kept asking in order to show just this, to strip away her bullshit and make her dodging blatant-ignorance and dodging incredibly obvious.
The tactic was essentially to make her the de facto representative and personification of the DEA's policies so that the audience can see just how irrational a person would have to be if they were a human embodiment of the DEA's policies.
@Binary Daoist He looks like he might be Irish. And I also think that asking about alcohol would be a question for the ATF. That's my uneducated opinion
I guess its not to legalize pot as a recreational substance but as a medication. Mistake in my opinion.
@elephant_droid You're right, when you say that the answer might have also needed an explanation. I won't argue there. But she didn't answer the question at all. Had she said "yes, but...." or "no, but...." he would have let her explain whatever she needed to clarify. The point of the whole thing is she never answered the question. She dodged the question several times. She wasn't prepared at all for this interview. And it should have been easy for her to be prepared and know the information. Again, the point is, she didn't once, have an answer to the question. He wasn't trying to put on a show. That wasn't his intent. He wanted her to answer the question and explain why they think or "know" that weed is worse than others, and she couldn't do it.
@AlPal She was given less than 3 seconds to answer until the guy did a self promoting dog and pony show of asking essentially the same question over and over.
@AlPal She isn't very fluid in her response at all. I know that. She stalls and hems but let her finish. Not everyone can rattle off an effective response in that type of situation with 100s of people in the room and 10 congressmen asking you questions repeatedly. I understand that is part of her job and responsibility. The guy is just trying to put on a show more than get an actual answer to his question. If she is going to look bad, which she started to head in that direction, let her do it.
@elephant_droid I understand your point but the reason he's doing that is because she's repeatedly giving non-answers: 'Is heroin worse than marijuana?' 'I think they're both bad.' 'But is it worse?' 'I think they're both bad.' Keep in mind also that this is only a clip of her whole time on the floor, I haven't seen it in context but I'm guessing this guy took the floor after already seeing her performance thusfar and decided to go straight for her throat, he only had 5 minutes of face time to try to say what he needed to say. When you think about it he only had one question, she had multiple opportunities to respond to it with a straight answer but she would not, every time.
@Binary Daoist @Binary Yea it's pretty weird considering since elementary school everyone is taught that they are drugs but were allowed to do them
