Sometimes newer is better. The Old Cleveland stadium was a crumbleing piece of shit with giant beams that would block your view. Love jacobs, errr Progressive Field much better, all though there were good times that were had at that old stadium.
My first game was in 1979 at the Vet in Philly at night. Phillies v. the 'Spos. It was English Leather rain coat night. Still remember that. Went with my friend, his dad took us and several other guys.. Don't know where the hell my dad was or why he never took me to a game at Shea when we lived within walking distance of it for 3 years.
My first time in the old Yankees stadium was not as romantic, I did put my index finger to good use though & I'm sure she enjoyed it...
